Hi Shaun,

You can definitely drive adwords traffic to a site with adsense on it, however if Google suspects your trying to manipulate the system or if your website is a thin 'affiliate' site Google can soon found issue with it and once they have decided your up to no good it's hard to get your account back.

Hi Dave,

That sounds really strange, there is no issue having links on your page in terms of Adwords, there must be some other reason they are blocking your account. Unfortunately when Google close the door it tends to stay closed.

I recently tried to promote my blog through google adwords, but when I called to get my $100 adwords coupon, the guy on the other end of the phone gave me the google SLAP and told me he cant help me cause I have links to other sites on it? What the heck is up with that? Of course I have links to other sites other wise my blog guide would be boring.
Can you tell me why?

Hi Andrew,

I think many avoid it because they just see it as throwing money away, the truth is it is a really effective way to grow and audience. Placement ads are great and I have been using them for well over a year now to drive relevant traffic.

I have yet to use AdWords to promote my blog. I have used for promoting products. I like the idea of placements ads as well.

Thanks, Tim for great advice.
