The theme is so much better, easy to manage and tweak for SEO. But I can confirm that the upper left part of the page is where the "money" is at. For every click I get on a adsense ad from the right sidebar I get 10 or more from the left. The idea of "hooks" didn't really mean anything to me until you mentioned that it is a great way to get 100% natural, one way, backlinks. Now that is something I must consider. By the way...your Thesis theme is clear of clutter and very sharp. I like it. I don’t really have a hook for any of my blogs. SEO (and blogging) takes time to implement and traffic takes time to build. This blog is 3 months old and has around 200 unique visitors a day about 50/50 between search engines and referring sites.
