I have been doing SEO just like you do. I started my SEO blog last December 2008 and after 1 month I was able to see some of my keywords on the first page of the SERP. I ranked 1st in free seo tips and tricks though the competition is less than 500,000 but in yahoo search I rank 6 with over 21,900,000 competitors some of my keywords like free blog directory submission list, free article directory submission, free web directory submission list are in 3-5 million and I was able to make it on the first page of the SERP.
