Content Distribution Advice

After corresponding with a potential client today my mind was drawn towards link building techniques such as press releases, article marketing, directories etc…..

As you will know I advocate all these techniques for creating valuable links back to your web pages, however I do not advocate simply sending information anywhere. Posting your content all over the place will cause you more work with no real benefit. However picking the right sites to generate content on can highly add to the relevancy of your page.

When It comes to content distribution I have a few rules that I like to follow and they will help you create more targeted traffic and links.

1) Write quality information, information that gives the reader something, a tip or general advice. However don’t give too much, your article or description is a taster and should ultimately draw the reader back to your site. If you do this and your article still provides something worth reading your going to find the publishing figures rise.

2) Only submit your info to directories that have some relevance to your site. These are the directories that really matter and will build your keyword theme. Remember I say relevant and not exact so for example SEO could fall into, Internet marketing, SEM, blogging, promotion or online traffic generation.

Not only does this increase relevancy but it also increases traffic as the visitors reading the content are ultra targeted.

I remeber back in the day when US free ads worked, I would use it to promote products, however the site got inn undated with affiliate marketers ( this was years back ) when it did, it made it impossible to get any decent sales. So I thought to myself “I know I’ll write an article on using US freeads to make money online”. I promoted it on US freeads and guess what, the click through rate exploded. Appeal to the readers.

3) Optimise your content to be distributed like you optimise your web pages. This again increases the relevancy of the link and the page it is linking to, think article title or directory title and content. Are they optimised towards the keywords my page is targeting? Remember me talking about the line of relevance??

4) When we start a knew site our authority is usually low for the first 6 – 12 months. It is important then, that all our article submissions are unique. We don’t want to sentence our sites pages to the supplementary list before giving them a fighting chance.

If you follow these simple steps the quality of your link building and incoming traffic will be more focusd and ready to interact with your site. This is what every SEO should be aiming at :)

OK have a good weekend people!

Hello,
Monetizing creative online content is a great way to create an income stream with almost no upfront investment, but the tradeoff (once again) is time. It takes a tremendous amount of time to create the amount of content that will eventually produce a decent stream of passive income.Passive income
Thanks
